Here's a thought...
With fighting increasing in Israeli and Palestine why doesn't The United States take a more active role to instill peace? The United States military bombarded right into Iraq after the September 11th attacks. Today, peace is restored in Iraq so do you see similar actions taken in Israeli and Palestine? To think that thousands of Palestinians are being killed from Israeli rockets and military arms that we have financed. Would there be less blood shed and possible future peace if American troops entered these conflict areas?

I think its an easy out to say that the United States army can handle all of the worlds problems, but in reality we are not the Worlds army we are just the U.S. Powerful, yes but not responsible for the entire world. I understand that we would like to see the conflict in the middle east resolved, but it seems like everyone looks to us to solve all of these problems and use our resources with little help from others.
ReplyDeleteI feel most American citizens desire peace through out the world, however their seems to be this sense of pride an nationalism in the Middle-East that would never never let U.S near the Palestine/Israeli conflict. The U.S should defiantly be leading the world in peace promoting dialogue to reach the ears of those who are still fighting but for the moment I think the only people who can resolve the conflict are those fighting in it.
